§ 46-153. Findings and determinations.

Latest version.
  • The board of county commissioners hereby finds and determines that having pedestrians in close proximity to moving or temporarily stopped motor vehicles in the same space at the same time is inherently dangerous, except for pedestrians who are crossing a county road lawfully and directly or trained law enforcement officers in the exercise of their official duties.

The board of county commissioners further hereby finds and determines that the prohibitions set forth in this article are narrowly-tailored to serve the significant interest of promoting and protecting the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of St. Lucie County.
