§ 5-53. Approval of plat prerequisite to recording.

No plat of lands in St. Lucie County lying outside the municipal limits of any incorporated municipality shall be recorded either as an independent instrument or by attachment to another instrument entitled to record, unless and until it shall first be approved by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, or if such lands lie within any municipal limits, by the governing body of such municipality.
